Day 1: Nairobi to Maasai Mara
Your adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Nairobi at 8:00 AM. After meeting your guide and fellow travelers, you’ll drive through the Great Rift Valley, stopping at the famous viewpoint for stunning panoramic views of the valley floor. From here, continue the journey to Maasai Mara, arriving in time for lunch at your camp.
After checking in, enjoy a delicious buffet lunch before heading out for an exciting evening game drive at 4:00 PM. The game drive will take you through the Maasai Mara National Reserve, where you’ll have the opportunity to spot a variety of wildlife, including the Big Cats—lions, cheetahs, and leopards. Your drive will end around 6:00 PM, returning to the camp for a hearty dinner and a relaxing night.
Day 2: Full Day Game Drive in Maasai Mara Reserve
After an early breakfast at 6:30 AM, you’ll leave for a full day of game viewing in the Maasai Mara. The morning game drive offers an incredible chance to witness the Mara’s wildlife up close, including the Big Five (lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhinoceros) and other animals like giraffes, zebras, and wildebeest. The Mara is also home to hippos, crocodiles, and a wide variety of bird species.
Around noon, enjoy a picnic lunch in the park under the shade of a croton tree, where you’ll have a chance to relax and take in the stunning surroundings. The afternoon drive will continue as you explore more of the reserve, possibly encountering predators on the hunt and witnessing the migratory herds of wildebeest and zebras in their natural habitat.
After a thrilling day of wildlife sightings, return to the camp for a delicious dinner and another peaceful night under the African sky.
3: Depart Maasai Mara to Nairobi
After an early breakfast, you’ll check out of the camp and begin your journey back to Nairobi. On the way, you’ll stop for a visit to a traditional Maasai village, where you can learn about the local Maasai culture, customs, and way of life. This immersive experience offers an authentic glimpse into the vibrant traditions of the Maasai people, including their unique dances, songs, and rituals.
After the village visit, continue your drive to Nairobi. Upon arrival, you’ll be dropped off at the city center or your hotel, marking the end of your unforgettable Maasai Mara safari.
