3 Days 2 Nights Masai Mara

Overview

The visit to the famous Masai Mara National Reserve, which is one of the best game reserves in Kenya. The safari starts and ends in Nairobi with the possibility of an extension. An open-roofed safari minibus will accommodate 6 of you, each person is guaranteed a window seat. Accommodation is based in basic self-contained tents with a flush toilet and showers are available inside the tent.

Day 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara NR

You’ll be picked up by our driver/guide and depart from Nairobi for Masai Mara National Reserve, have a stop at the scenic Great Rift Valley viewpoint for a view of the escarpment and a photo session. Proceed to Mara via Narok Town for lunch, arrive for check-in at Enchoro Camp. Later, have an afternoon game drive within the park which is famously known for the Big Five and migration of wildebeest (seasonal). Animals that are easily spotted include elephant, buffalo, lion, bird species and plains game.
Dinner and overnight at the Enchoro Wildlife Camp.

Day 2: Masai Mara Full Game Drive

After breakfast, go for a morning game drive in search of wild animals when they are most active, you can find some on an hunt or a kill. You can later break for lunch at camp or alternatively carry a packed picnic lunch, to be eaten by the riverside overlooking the hippos & crocodiles, sometimes around July – October during migration you can experience the survival of the fittest by the river. In the afternoon, enjoy game drives to explore the new 8th Wonder of the World. A cultural visit to a Maasai village can be organized at a small extra cost of USD 25 per person.

Day 3: Masai Mara – Nairobi City

After breakfast, have a morning game drive en-route to Nairobi. Arrive at Narok to for lunch before proceeding. You’ll get to Nairobi in the evening and transfer to your preferred hotel or airport.

Mara Sopa Lodge

Located high on the slopes of the Oloolaimutia Hills, Masai Mara Sopa Lodge has stood the test of time. It was one of the first safari lodges to be built in the Maasai Mara Game Reserve.

All its buildings have traditional conical roofs featuring cottage houses with 2 rooms each, which is great for travelers on a budget.
