Begin your safari adventure with an early morning pick-up from your Nairobi hotel or the airport. Head north through Kenya’s scenic countryside, with stops along the way for refreshments and photo opportunities, arriving in Samburu National Reserve by midday. Check into your camp or lodge, followed by lunch. In the afternoon, embark on your first game drive in the unique, semi-arid landscapes of Samburu. Look out for rare species known as the Samburu “Special Five” — the Grevy's zebra, Somali ostrich, gerenuk, reticulated giraffe, and Beisa oryx. After a thrilling day, return to your camp or lodge for dinner and a relaxing overnight stay
Start your day early with a sunrise game drive when wildlife is most active. Explore the reserve’s diverse habitats along the Ewaso Nyiro River, which attracts numerous animals, including elephants, lions, leopards, and a variety of bird species. Return to your lodge for breakfast and leisure time. After lunch, venture out on an afternoon game drive, hoping for sightings of predators like cheetahs and leopards and perhaps the elusive African wild dog. In the evening, visit a traditional Samburu village for a cultural experience, learning about the customs and way of life of the Samburu people. End the day back at the lodge with dinner and an overnight stay, sharing stories of the day's wildlife encounters.
Enjoy an early breakfast, followed by a morning drive through Samburu as you head south toward Ol Pejeta Conservancy, arriving by midday. Check into your camp or lodge within the conservancy, followed by lunch. In the afternoon, embark on a game drive through Ol Pejeta, home to Kenya's largest population of endangered black rhinos, as well as the only place in East Africa to see chimpanzees at the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary. Ol Pejeta also houses northern white rhinos, making it a unique opportunity to witness conservation efforts firsthand. After an engaging day, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Begin your final day with an early morning game drive, maximizing your chances to see predators like lions, leopards, and other wildlife. Return to the lodge for breakfast, followed by a guided walking safari to gain insights into Ol Pejeta’s flora and fauna. After checking out, embark on the journey back to Nairobi, arriving by late afternoon to conclude your safari with incredible memories and wildlife encounters.
