Day 1: Nairobi – Samburu National Reserve
Early in the morning, you will depart Nairobi and drive through central Kenya Highlands with a stopover at the Nanyuki Equator line. You will be arriving at Samburu Simba Lodge in time for lunch. You can spend the afternoon swimming and relaxing before you set off for an evening game drive, your first taste of wildlife encounter in search of the Big Five and other phenomenal animals in this great reserve. The Samburu National Reserve is also the home of Kamunyak, a lioness famous for adopting oryx calves.

Day 2: Game Viewing in Samburu National Reserve
After breakfast, you will depart for another morning game drive and return to the lodge for lunch followed by swimming, games, and relaxation. Late afternoon, you will set off this time, for an evening game drive until sunset to witness the serenity of this reserve including the Big Five, Samburu specials which include the beIsa oryx, reticulated giraffe, and Somali ostrich among others.

Day 3: Samburu National Reserve – Lake Nakuru National Park
You will enjoy breakfast at the lodge, check out, and start your journey (approximately 4-5 hours) to Nakuru town. You will stop off at Nyahururu for lunch, and enjoy the scenery along the way.
You will arrive and begin the afternoon safari in search of abundant wildlife, including tree-climbing lions, leopards, reticulated giraffes, white and black rhinos, baboons, and the greater and lesser flamingoes and other resident wildlife. You will encounter and learn more about the wildlife species roaming this magnificent reserve.
Later, you will drive and check in at Sarova Woodlands for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 4: Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, you will drive southwest to the unrivaled plains of the Masai Mara National Reserve across the Maasai land. You will proceed via the Suswa plains with a brief stopover at the Masai town of Narok. You will continue toward the interior plains of the Mara, arriving in time for lunch and an afternoon game drive in search of wildlife including the Big Five and other varieties of plains game. The 270-km long Mara River cuts through the Mara-Serengeti ecosystem, offering the spectacle during the annual migration. It also gives life to the 2 game reserves as it meanders through the savannah into Lake Victoria. The highlight of this safari is the instinct-led migration of wildebeests and zebras from the Serengeti to the Masai Mara.

Day 5: Masai Mara NR Game Viewing
After breakfast, you will have an early morning game drive to view the park’s abundant wildlife with a picnic lunch. This will be a day of unlimited game drives over the golden fields and past the distinctive acacia trees adorning these plains.
Be on the lookout for Africa’s Big Five – lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino. The birdlife is also abundant, and should you be here during the season of the Great Migration (July – October), prepare yourself to witness the largest movement of animals on the planet.
You will have lunch at the park. Later in the evening, you will drive back to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 6: AA Lodge Mara – Maasai Village – Nairobi City
After breakfast, you will check out and drive to the Maasai village, this is where you will learn about their cultural norms and traditions. Afterward, you will drive to Nairobi with a lunch en route. You will be dropped off at your hotel or airport.
