Itinerary

Day 1: Lake Nakuru National Park

You’ll be picked up early in the morning and driven to Lake Nakuru National Park, located south of Bogoria and across the equator. Known worldwide for its vibrant flamingo population, Lake Nakuru is a striking alkaline lake, celebrated as one of the Natural Wonders of the World. Besides its famous flamingos, the park is a sanctuary for rhinos, with over 40 black rhinos and more than 60 white rhinos.

Lake Nakuru is rich in diverse wildlife, including lions, leopards, giraffes, and large troops of baboons. During your visit, you’ll stop at the Baboon Cliff viewpoint for a spectacular panoramic view of the lake and surrounding park, offering a perfect vantage point to take in the lake’s stunning pink shoreline created by millions of flamingos. A visit to the park’s waterfall, cascading down rocky cliffs surrounded by lush vegetation, adds a peaceful and scenic touch to the experience.

You’ll arrive in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive to see these magnificent animals and landmarks up close. Your evening includes dinner and an overnight stay at Lake Nakuru lodge.

Day 2: Nakuru – Masai Mara National Reserve

You’ll embark on an early morning drive to the Masai Mara National Reserve, one of the few remaining areas where wildlife thrives in natural abundance, reminiscent of Africa’s past landscapes. As the northern extension of the sprawling Serengeti ecosystem, the Mara is home to the awe-inspiring seasonal migration of thousands of wildebeests, zebras, and the predators that follow them. You’ll arrive in time for lunch at Jambo Mara Camp, followed by an afternoon game drive.

Note: Accommodation can be adjusted to either upgraded or more budget-friendly options, with corresponding price changes.

Day 3: Masai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, we’ll embark on a full-day game drive with packed lunch provided. The reserve is famous for its black-maned lions and a thriving population of wildlife, offering one of the best chances to spot the Big Five on a morning game drive. Many of the cheetahs are surprisingly comfortable around vehicles, often resting in their shade during the heat of the day and sometimes even climbing onto the roofs to scout for prey.

For bird lovers, the Masai Mara boasts nearly 500 recorded species, including 16 types of eagles, various hawks and falcons, 6 vulture species, 8 types of storks, 4 species of bustards (including the kori bustard, the world’s heaviest flying bird), and 9 kinds of sunbirds.

*Note: Accommodation can be adjusted to either higher-end options or more budget-friendly ones, with corresponding changes in price.*

Day 4: Masai Mara  – Lake Naivasha & Crescent Island

After breakfast, embark on a drive to Lake Naivasha, a stunning freshwater lake renowned as one of Kenya’s most popular tourist destinations. You will arrive just in time for a delicious lunch at L Naivasha Kongoni LodGe, allowing you to recharge for the day ahead.

Following lunch, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the area at your leisure, but a highlight of your visit will be an exciting afternoon boat ride, which is included in your itinerary. This boat excursion will take you across the tranquil waters of Lake Naivasha to Crescent Island, a remarkable location where you can enjoy a walking safari.

Crescent Island is one of the few places in the world where you can stroll on foot among wild animals, as there are no predators present. This unique experience offers an incredible chance to observe various wildlife up close, including majestic giraffes, zebras, and an array of bird species. As you walk, you’ll be surrounded by the breathtaking scenery of the lake and the highland landscapes that frame it. Keep an eye out for hippos lounging in the water, adding to the allure of this picturesque environment.

The park’s ecosystem is primarily composed of vast savannah grasslands, stretching across the Kenya-Tanzania border. Besides the incredible elephant sightings, you’ll have the opportunity to engage with the Maasai people, experiencing their rich culture and traditions firsthand. One of the park’s most breathtaking features is its stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s tallest peak and the highest free-standing mountain in the world. Although Kilimanjaro lies within Tanzania, Amboseli offers some of the most spectacular vantage points to admire it, particularly from Observation Hill.

As the day winds down, you can look forward to witnessing a magnificent sunset over Kilimanjaro, a truly unforgettable sight. After a day filled with adventure and awe-inspiring landscapes, you’ll return to Little Amani Camp, your cozy accommodation for the night. Here, you can enjoy a delicious dinner and unwind, reflecting on the day’s experiences while anticipating more explorations in the days to come.

Your afternoon game drive will lead you to Acacia Central Camp, your cozy accommodation for the night. Here, you can relax and take in the beautiful surroundings of the Serengeti.

For your stay at Acacia Central Camp, you have the option to upgrade to higher-level accommodations for added comfort at an extra cost, or you can choose more economical options if you prefer a price reduction. Regardless of your choice, you’ll be sure to experience the enchanting beauty of the Serengeti during your stay.

Days 6-7: Serengeti National Park

You’ll spend the next two days exploring the magnificent Serengeti National Park, renowned for the spectacular Great Migration. Your game drives will be breathtaking as you ascend into the crater highlands, stopping to admire the stunning views from the rim. As you continue, you’ll be greeted by the vast, sprawling plains of the Serengeti, which translates to “endless plains” in Kiswahili. Additionally, you have the option to visit Oldupai Gorge, an important archaeological site that offers fascinating insights into human history. For a truly unforgettable experience, consider a hot air balloon flight over the Serengeti, where you can take in the breathtaking vistas from above (at an extra cost)

Regarding accommodation at Acacia Central Camp, you can choose to upgrade to higher-level options for added luxury at an extra cost, or you can select more economical options for a price reduction. Whichever you choose, your stay in the Serengeti promises to be an extraordinary experience.

On this day, you’ll rise early for a morning safari before breakfast, taking advantage of the animals’ increased activity during this time. This early outing also offers the chance to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the Serengeti, providing the perfect backdrop for your adventure.

After your exhilarating game drive, you’ll return to the camp for a delicious brunch. Once you’ve fueled up, you’ll transfer to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This remarkable location features a massive crater with walls that rise 2,000 feet high and a floor that spans 102 square miles. The Ngorongoro Crater is often referred to as a virtual Noah’s Ark, home to nearly every species of wildlife indigenous to East Africa, including the rare black rhino. In fact, this crater boasts the greatest concentration of wildlife on the planet.

You’ll also have the opportunity to see large bull elephants with impressively large tusks, a result of the nutrient-rich volcanic soil and grasses that sustain them.

In the afternoon, consider joining a walking safari in the picturesque Ngorongoro Highlands, where you can explore the landscape up close and learn more about the unique ecosystem.

Your accommodation for the night will be at Rhino Lodge, offering comfortable and inviting lodgings with stunning views of the crater. For your stay, you have the option to upgrade to higher-level accommodations for added luxury at an extra cost or to choose more economical options for a price reduction.
