4-Day Mid-Range Masai Mara & Lake Nakuru Safari

Day 1: Nairobi Hotel/Airport – Masai Mara National Reserve

Upon your arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you’ll be welcomed by your driver-guide in a 4×4 safari vehicle. Begin your safari with a scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley towards the iconic Maasai Mara. Arrive and check-in at Jambo Mara Camp hotel in time for lunch. In the afternoon, set out on your first thrilling game drive in the Maasai Mara, home to the “Big Five”. Witness the rich wildlife, including elephants, lions, cheetahs, and vast herds of wildebeests and zebras. As the sun sets over the Mara plains, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Masai Mara Full Day Game Viewing

After an early breakfast, embark on a full day of game drives in Maasai Mara, with opportunities to explore different parts of the reserve. Spot the “Big Five” and enjoy the diversity of wildlife that thrives in the Mara. During the Great Migration season (July to October), you might witness the dramatic river crossings. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park or return to your lodge for a meal. In the evening, unwind at your lodge, where you’ll have dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Masai Village – Lake Nakuru National Park

After an early breakfast, depart for Lake Nakuru National Park, arrive and check-in at the Sarova Woodlands in time for lunch. In the afternoon, embark on a game drive around the lake, renowned for its stunning flocks of flamingos and diverse birdlife. The park is also home to rhinos, Rothschild giraffes, and leopards. Explore the park’s picturesque landscapes before returning to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru National Park – Nairobi City

Enjoy an early morning game drive around Lake Nakuru, capturing the beauty of the sunrise over the lake. After breakfast, depart for Nairobi, with a stop for lunch along the way. Arrive in the afternoon, and your driver will drop you off at your desired location, concluding your 4-day Maasai Mara and Lake Nakuru safari.
