Upon arrival at Entebbe Airport, you will be met by your guide and assisted with check-in for your flight to Kihihi. This scenic flight offers panoramic views of Uganda’s beautiful landscapes. Upon arrival in Kihihi, a short transfer will take you to your accommodation in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, where you will spend the night. The evening will be free for you to relax and prepare for your upcoming gorilla trekking adventure.

The Bwindi region is known for its steep hills and mist-covered rainforests, creating a magical atmosphere that will set the tone for your trek.

Wake up early for an exciting day ahead! After a hearty breakfast, you will meet your ranger guides for a thorough briefing on the rules and guidelines for gorilla trekking. The trek begins in the dense rainforest, where your guides will lead you to the specific gorilla family assigned to you. As you hike through the thick vegetation, you may encounter other wildlife, such as forest elephants, buffaloes, and various species of birds. The experience is both exhilarating and humbling.

Once you encounter the gorillas, you will be given one hour to observe them in their natural habitat. Witnessing their daily activities – from playing and eating to simply relaxing – is a truly awe-inspiring experience. The gorillas’ natural behavior and social bonds will make this moment unforgettable.

After spending your hour with the gorillas, you will return to your lodge to relax and reflect on the experience. You may also opt to visit a nearby local community in the evening, where you can learn about the customs and traditions of the local Bakiga and Batwa people.
