Tour Plan

Start your safari adventure with an early morning pick-up from your Nairobi hotel or the airport. Enjoy a scenic drive north through Kenya's picturesque countryside, with refreshing stops and photo opportunities along the way.

Arrive at Samburu Simba Lodge by midday, where you’ll check in and enjoy a delicious lunch. The lodge offers stunning views of the Ewaso Nyiro River, setting the perfect atmosphere for your safari adventure.

Afternoon Game Drive in Samburu National Reserve

In the afternoon, embark on your first exciting game drive through Samburu National Reserve. Look out for the rare Samburu "Special Five", which includes the Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, gerenuk, reticulated giraffe, and Beisa oryx. These unique species are a special highlight of the reserve.

Return to Samburu Simba Lodge for Dinner and Overnight Stay

After your thrilling game drive, return to Samburu Simba Lodge for a relaxing dinner. Enjoy the lodge’s warm hospitality and indulge in a delightful meal before retiring to your comfortable room for an overnight stay.

Start your day early with a sunrise game drive. This is the best time to spot wildlife as animals are most active at dawn. Explore the reserve’s diverse habitats, especially along the Ewaso Nyiro River, which attracts elephants, lions, leopards, and many bird species.

Return for Breakfast and Leisure

After your morning adventure, return to your lodge for a hearty breakfast. Enjoy some leisure time to relax or explore the surroundings.

Afternoon Game Drive

In the afternoon, embark on another game drive. This time, keep an eye out for predators like cheetahs, leopards, and perhaps the elusive African wild dog. The reserve offers an exciting chance to observe these magnificent animals in their natural habitat.

Cultural Experience in the Evening

As the day winds down, visit a traditional Samburu village. Learn about the customs, traditions, and way of life of the Samburu people. It’s a unique cultural experience to enrich your safari journey.

Dinner and Overnight Stay

End the day with a delicious dinner back at the lodge. Share stories of your wildlife encounters with fellow travelers before settling in for a peaceful overnight stay.

Enjoy an early breakfast, followed by a morning drive through Samburu as you head south toward Ol Pejeta Conservancy, arriving by midday. Check into your camp or lodge within the conservancy, followed by lunch. In the afternoon, embark on a game drive through Ol Pejeta, home to Kenya's largest population of endangered black rhinos, as well as the only place in East Africa to see chimpanzees at the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary. Ol Pejeta also houses northern white rhinos, making it a unique opportunity to witness conservation efforts firsthand. After an engaging day, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Begin your final day with an early morning game drive, maximizing your chances to see predators like lions, leopards, and other wildlife. Return to the lodge for breakfast, followed by a guided walking safari to gain insights into Ol Pejeta’s flora and fauna.
