This incredible safari offers a unique and unforgettable opportunity to witness mountain gorillas in their natural habitat within Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, one of the best places in the world for gorilla trekking. The trip begins in Kampala, Uganda’s capital, before flying to Bwindi for two thrilling days of gorilla trekking. You will explore the rich biodiversity of the park, home to half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas.

On Day 1, you’ll arrive in Entebbe and transfer to your hotel for an overnight stay. On Day 2, after breakfast, you’ll fly from Entebbe to Kihihi Airstrip near Bwindi, where you’ll be transferred to your lodge. Day 3 marks the first gorilla trek, and Day 4 brings a second trek, giving you a chance to observe different gorilla families. Finally, on Day 5, you’ll return to Entebbe for your outbound flight after enjoying a memorable wildlife experience.

Tour Plan

Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by a representative who will assist you with customs and immigration procedures. Afterward, your guide will transfer you to your accommodation for the night. You’ll check in at Hotel No. 5, where you can unwind after your flight. Enjoy a delicious dinner before retiring for the evening to rest and prepare for the adventure ahead.

After breakfast, you will leave any extra luggage behind at the hotel to be collected on Day 5. Pack only the essentials (up to 15kg) for your flight to Bwindi National Park. You will be transferred to Entebbe Airport for your morning flight to Kihihi Airstrip. Upon arrival at Kihihi, your driver-guide will be waiting to transfer you to your accommodation in Bwindi.

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is home to nearly half of the world's mountain gorillas, with over 300 gorillas living within its boundaries. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the richest ecosystems in Africa, offering a unique opportunity to witness these critically endangered primates in their natural habitat.

After an early breakfast, you will receive a briefing from the park guides before embarking on your gorilla trekking adventure inside the Bwindi forest. Bwindi National Park covers 331 square kilometers of montane and lowland forest, which can only be explored on foot. The park is home to 340 mountain gorillas, making it a prime location for trekking. After the trek, return to Gorilla Forest Camp for a late lunch and relax for the rest of the day.

Following another early breakfast, you will head back to the park for your second gorilla trekking session. Each trek is a unique experience, as you will visit different gorilla families in various parts of the park. The Buhoma sector is one of the most popular trekking areas and is home to several gorilla families, including Mubare, Rushegura, and Habiyanja. The second trek will provide you with another opportunity to observe these magnificent animals in their natural environment.

After the trek, return to Gorilla Forest Camp for your overnight stay, where you can enjoy a restful evening after an exciting day.

After breakfast at the lodge, you will check out and transfer to Kihihi Airstrip for your return flight to Entebbe. Once you arrive at Entebbe, you will collect your extra luggage and be transferred to the airport for your onward flight back home.
