Day 01 :

Nairobi to Meru National Park – Afternoon Game Drive

You leave Nairobi in the morning and travel north in your private 4×4 Land Cruiser, passing through Kenya’s central highlands towards Meru National Park. After lunch en route, you enter the park for your first game drive across its open grasslands, riverine woodland and palm-lined watercourses.

This is your introduction to Meru’s quieter wilderness, where you can begin looking for elephants, giraffes, buffalo, antelopes and predators without the heavier traffic found in Kenya’s busier parks. You then continue to your camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 02 :

Full-Day Game Drive in Meru National Park

You spend the day exploring Meru National Park with your private driver-guide, allowing time to follow wildlife activity and visit different habitats at an unhurried pace. Game viewing may reveal elephants, lions, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, antelopes and abundant birdlife, while the park’s rivers and permanent water sources attract animals throughout the year.

Your game-viewing programme also includes the park’s rhino sanctuary, giving you an opportunity to look for both black and white rhinos. Depending on wildlife movements and your preferences, you can take a packed lunch into the park or pause between morning and afternoon game drives before returning to camp.

Day 03 :

Morning Game Drive – Return to Nairobi

You begin your final day with an early morning game drive, when temperatures are cooler and wildlife is often more active. This provides another opportunity to search for animals you may not have encountered earlier and enjoy Meru’s landscapes in the softer morning light. After leaving the park, you begin the return journey through central Kenya, stopping for lunch en route before arriving in Nairobi later in the day. You are dropped off at your agreed Nairobi hotel or location, bringing your private Meru safari to an end.
