Your honeymoon safari begins with an early morning pick-up from your Nairobi hotel or the airport by your private driver-guide. After a short safari briefing, depart for the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve, travelling through the scenic Great Rift Valley with beautiful views along the way.

Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch and take in the peaceful surroundings of the African wilderness. Spend the afternoon at leisure relaxing after your journey and enjoying the atmosphere of your safari lodge together.

Your experienced driver-guide will take you through different areas of the reserve, tracking wildlife movements and sharing insights about the ecosystem and animals encountered along the way.

Return to Jambo Mara Safari Lodge (or similar) in the late afternoon for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, check out and depart from the Masai Mara National Reserve for the scenic journey to Lake Naivasha in the Great Rift Valley. Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch and enjoy a relaxing break overlooking the peaceful lakeside surroundings.

In the afternoon, head out for a boat ride on Lake Naivasha, where you may spot hippos resting in the water and a variety of birdlife along the shoreline. Continue with a guided walking safari at Crescent Island Game Sanctuary, offering a unique opportunity to walk among giraffes, zebras, antelopes and other wildlife in a beautiful natural setting.

Return to Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort in the evening and enjoy dinner and overnight stay surrounded by the tranquil atmosphere of the lake and acacia woodland.

After an early breakfast, depart from Lake Naivasha and travel south towards Amboseli National Park, arriving at your lodge in time for lunch and check-in.

Amboseli is one of Kenya’s most iconic safari destinations, famous for its large elephant herds and breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain. The park’s open plains, swamps and acacia woodlands support a wide variety of wildlife including lions, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes and abundant birdlife.

After an early breakfast, enjoy a short morning game drive in Amboseli National Park before departing for the Namanga border crossing into Tanzania. Complete immigration and border formalities before meeting your Tanzanian driver-guide and continuing your journey towards Arusha.

Arrive in Arusha in the afternoon and check in at your lodge. Often referred to as the gateway to Tanzania’s northern safari circuit, Arusha sits beneath the slopes of Mount Meru and offers a relaxing stop before continuing deeper into Tanzania’s renowned safari destinations.

After an early breakfast, depart from Arusha and journey towards Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s hidden safari gems known for its giant baobab trees, seasonal swamps and large elephant herds.

Upon arrival, enjoy a game drive through the park as you explore its diverse landscapes and search for wildlife including elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests and various antelope species. After breakfast, enjoy a final game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park before continuing your journey towards Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to the endangered mountain gorillas.

Along the way, enjoy changing landscapes as the savannah plains gradually give way to rolling hills, terraced farmlands and dense tropical forest. You will also experience a boat safari along the Kazinga Channel, famous for its high concentration of hippos, crocodiles, elephants and abundant birdlife along the water’s edge.

Continue south towards Bwindi, arriving in the evening at your lodge located near the forest.

Today marks one of the most unforgettable experiences of your East Africa honeymoon safari as you head into Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for mountain gorilla trekking.

After an early breakfast, proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing by experienced rangers before beginning your trek through the dense rainforest in search of a habituated gorilla family. The trek can take several hours depending on the movement of the gorillas and the terrain, but the experience of coming face to face with these gentle giants in their natural habitat is truly extraordinary.

Once the gorillas are located, you will spend a memorable hour observing their behavior, interactions and daily activities while surrounded by the ancient forest environment of Bwindi.
